We do offer free support groups for those who have experienced a pregnancy-related loss or the death of an infant, child or adult.

Food and nutrition services

Food and nutrition services are provided in partnership with Sodexho Health Care Services. Within food and nutrition services, there are three daily support services:

The Food and Nutrition Services team believes that "Patients are at the heart of everything we do." As such, our patient meal program is titled "At Your Request" Room Service Dining. This form of meal placement and delivery allows patients to order and receive meals at any time they choose.

Our hospital provides leading-edge care for patients with many different conditions and diet requirements. Whether the patient requires a diet low in fat or a diet with modified textures, the Food and Nutrition Services team is working constantly to make these modifications as easy as possible for every patient. Our Room Service operators are trained in the specific diets we follow and any nutritional information that pertains to the related disease state.

The most common conditions we treat through nutrition include diabetes, renal disease, stroke, cancer and heart disease. We will accommodate any request as long as it is allowed within the patient's diet restrictions.

Battery-powered appliances are generally permitted unless oxygen is being used within your room. In these instances, such devices may not be permitted. Please check with your nurse if you have a question about what is allowed.

Safety preparedness

The safety of our patients, visitors, staff and physicians is our highest priority. Organizations such as hospitals seem like they should be a safe zone from external threats, but we know that often isn't the case.

The best protection our leaders, staff and visitors can have is preparation.

The entire hospital team, from leadership and administrative staff to medical personnel and support staff, regularly train along with other local agencies to practice response to potential threats to our safety, including natural disasters, fires, catastrophes and active threats.

As a part of our plan, we work to educate every person working on our campus how to overcome the natural instinct to panic and take actions to increase chance of reaching safety.

We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the Department of Homeland Security's Run. Hide. Fight. protocol.
